The Get Set Go
website has a vertically aligned menu which expands as a dropdown to the right
where required, so the main menu is visible at all times. All pages display
this menu, and in additon there are individual links to relevant pages via
flash buttons. It includes both rotating images and roll-over images. In order
to achieve good visibility from search engines, the titles and key text have
been chosen carefully, published links have been established and and links
into the site have been purchased from several good directory services.
The site comprises three
businesses: Fitness, Holiday Cottages and SlimForLife. Each business has its
own identity on the site, with unique domains forwarded to the relevant pages.
These are getsetgotofitness.co.uk, getsetgofitness.co.uk, nordicwalkingnorfolk.com,
threeowlsfarm.co.uk, 3owlsfarm.co.uk, slim-for-life.net, hotcottage.com, hotcottage.co.uk,
hotvilla.com and hotvilla.eu. There are two pages held incognito on the site,
this one forwarded from the domain kittle.biz and another forwarded from kittles.co.uk.
The E. Burnham
Cosmetics website has a horizontally aligned drop-down menu. All
pages display this menu. The images on the index page have highlighted links
to the relevant pages and there are links to individual pages at the bottom
to improve search engine visibility. The index page includes a rotating customer
recommendations text box, which can easily updated.
The site has been integrated
with the osCommerce free to web shopping cart and payment system, so items
can be purchased on-line in the USA. When the site is more established it
is intended to extend this to include multiple currencies. Each page of the
site carries a shopping cart image which accesses the cart contents at any
time and the main drop-down menu is visible on all the osC pages, so the user
is not aware of the site's split personality.
